Advertisement Policy

The Journal of Integrated Social Sciences and Wellbeing (JISSAW) maintains a strict policy of zero commercial advertising. To ensure complete editorial independence and to protect the integrity of the scholarly record, we do not accept, publish, or display advertisements from any commercial entity, political organization, or third-party service.

1. Scope of Policy

  • No Digital Ads: The journal website is free of banners, pop-ups, or sidebar advertisements (e.g., for pharmaceuticals, educational software, or private research consultancies).
  • No Print Ads: If a print version is circulated, it will contain no commercial inserts or sponsored pages.
  • No Sponsored Content: We do not publish "advertorials" or sponsored articles. All content is subject to the same rigorous double-blind peer review process.

2. Rationale and Principles

  • Editorial Independence: Decisions regarding the acceptance of manuscripts are based solely on scientific merit, novelty, and relevance to the field of social sciences and wellbeing. By rejecting advertising revenue, we eliminate any potential pressure to favor specific products, companies, or political agendas.
  • User Experience: We prioritize a clean, distraction-free reading environment for our audience of researchers, policymakers, and practitioners.

3. Financial Sustainability

JISSAW does not rely on advertising revenue to cover its operational costs. The journal is self-financed and sustained exclusively through the Article Processing Charges (APCs) paid by authors upon acceptance. This financial model ensures that our loyalty remains with the scientific community rather than commercial sponsors.

4. Compliance

This policy is aligned with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines on conflict of interest and the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) criteria for ethical publishing transparency.
