Submission Preparation Checklist
All submissions must meet the following requirements.
- This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
- This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
- All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
- All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
- Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.

The Journal of Integrated Social Sciences and Wellbeing (JISSAW) is committed to protecting the intellectual property rights of authors while ensuring the widest possible dissemination of their research.
1. Authors' Rights
- Copyright Retention: Authors retain full copyright ownership of their work. They are not required to transfer copyright to the journal.
- License to Publish: Authors grant JISSAW the non-exclusive right of first publication. The work is simultaneously licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
2. User Rights (CC BY 4.0)
Under this license, authors and readers are free to:
- Share: Copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format (e.g., sharing a study on social policy in a university database).
- Adapt: Remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial use (e.g., translating a wellbeing intervention guide into another language).
- Requirement: The user must give appropriate credit to the original author(s) and the source (JISSAW), and indicate if changes were made.
3. Self-Archiving and Distribution
JISSAW encourages authors to promote their work ("Green Open Access"):
- Institutional Repositories: Authors may deposit the Version of Record (the final published PDF) in institutional or thematic repositories (e.g., OSF, SSRN, or university archives) immediately upon publication.
- Preprints: Authors are permitted to post pre-review versions of their manuscript on preprint servers. Upon publication, the preprint record should be updated with a link to the final DOI.
- Educational Use: Authors may use their article for teaching, conference presentations, or book chapters without needing special permission from the journal, provided the original publication is cited.
4. Third-Party Material
If a manuscript contains content (e.g., images, extensive data tables, or proprietary surveys) that is copyright to a third party, the author is responsible for obtaining written permission for re-use prior to submission.

The Journal of Integrated Social Sciences and Wellbeing (JISSAW) is committed to protecting the privacy and security of its authors, reviewers, and readers. Our data handling practices are strictly aligned with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and global standards for scholarly publishing.
1. Data Collection and Usage
The names, email addresses, and institutional affiliations entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal (editorial communication, peer review management, and publication).
- What We Collect: Name, email, affiliation, country, and ORCID iD.
- How We Use It: To manage the double-blind peer review process and to properly attribute authorship in published articles.
- No Marketing: Personal data will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party. We do not sell or trade user data to third-party commercial entities.
2. Third-Party Sharing for Indexing
To ensure your research is discoverable, essential metadata (Author Name, Affiliation, Article Title) may be shared with non-profit digital archiving and indexing services, including:
- Crossref (for DOI assignment).
- DOAJ and Scopus (for indexing).
- Open Journal Systems (OJS): Our submission platform, which securely processes data in compliance with international privacy laws.
3. User Rights
In accordance with GDPR, all users have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectify: Update or correct any inaccuracies in your profile.
- Erase ("Right to be Forgotten"): Request the deletion of your account and personal data from our systems (except where retention is required for the permanent scholarly record of a published article).
